Online Casino Sucker Wagers — Part II

by Jarrett on Dec.09, 2015, under Online Casino

  • Progressive side wagers: Casino games like Caribbean Stud Poker often contain one of these. You normally put a bet ($1 is the usual amt.) to try to win a bonus jackpot that can reach twenty-five thousand dollars. Although big jackpots like these are extremely appealing, they’re also incredibly hard to succeed. You might have to get a Royal Flush in order to hit this bet. Also, imagine this- you play 20 hands and make the side wager every time. That is twenty dollars you could have used towards the actual game wager instead of a sucker bet. Imagine what you might have been able to win at a wager with greater odds employing that $20.
  • Single number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has two 0’s on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has just 1. This takes the complete casino advantage from 2% with one zero wheel to a whopping 5percent in American. The one number bet has only a one in 38 chance of winning, which are very long odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red bets alternately which have a much lower house advantage.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and regardless of how you bet on it, the casino edge can be a whopping twenty-five percent. Yes, that is not a typo. Because of the huge amount of numbers you have to pick, it isn’t recommended to play Keno to often. A number of times for fun, maybe. But don’t waste all your cash on it or you’ll immediately discover yourself broke.
